Today I went in for a follow up at the naturopath. Those herbs, man. That's some powerful stuff. As with any pharmaceutical, if the dose is too strong you get a reaction. And I did. So I experimented, just as I do with the other. Found a dose, at 1/4 the prescribed. Typical for me. What a lightweight!

Anyway, talked with the doc about it and she said I did what she would have done. Keep it up!

Then we talked IBS b/c I mentioned that my regularity was quite regular. We looked at all aspects, such as ease and bulk and timing, and lack of influence on this month's ovulation (yes, I sailed right through - no enema this month!). The doc says there are two important factors to watch for the next month. Magnesium, and C.
Why? b/c the magnesium helps regulate, particularly if you have been deficient, and even more important, if your system has been holding onto heavy metals. The metals impair the body's ability to absorb certain vitamins and minerals, such as magnesium, which in turn impairs system functionality.
And C assists the bowel to balance its flora - so gas levels can change, and mine has. It's nothing extreme mind you, but every little bit helps. Less gas, and less uncomfortable gas.

I like this doc. She talks a lot - it's like she wants to educate you so you can handle your own health, with just a little of her expertise and experience as a guide. That works really well for me these days. I admit there was a time I was just like most people, wanting the doc to fix it and make it go away, whatever it was. I couldn't, and shouldn't, have to take care of my health blah blah blah.
What crap.

I like 'owning' my health. More confidence. More Power. Way cool.

That's it for now.
