Last few days I have been taking 10 110 mg magnesium pills per day, plus the magnesium in my multi (~80 mg), which comes out to 1200 mg per day.
Yikes.
I feel fine.
OK, that is a relative term. I feel fine as far as elimination goes. It is easier than ever, and sometimes in the morning it is almost too easy (I need to get to the bathroom as soon as the urge hits or I'll lose it - the closest I have come to the predicted diarrhea).
On another note, my body is in full hormonal imbalance this month. First, my period came at 30 days, instead of the 'usual' 24-25 days (usual for the past year). Menses were old too. Second, from the moment it finished my breasts have been tender, my back aches, and my thumb joint aches too! Topping it all off, I have been experiencing uterine cramps - which have been severe enough to kick in some extra bowel movements. Ordinarily I am quite happy to go for more bowel movements, but not as result of cramps. Way too painful.
What's with that!
So here I am, taking all these vitamin and mineral supplements, and the original symptoms have all but disappeared, only to be replaced by others!
Double Yikes!
I am hoping this is just one of those abstract, one-time events, and that it won't be repeated. I don't know which is worse, leg cramps or sore thumb joints! Whatever. I would rather avoid both. Not to mention uterine cramps and backaches. YUK.
My guess is estrogen dominance. Too much estrogen and the body does weird stuff, like all the stuff I just mentioned...
It's late, gotta go.
More later.
