Tuesday I had lunch with a friend at a salad, tea & coffee shop. Fresh foods, all natural, nice ambiance (near a university that means quiet). I had a tabouli and Hummous salad plate that came with toasted pita. I usually don't do grains, but the pita was very tasty.

Why am I describing this?
B/C yesterday I had lunch with other friends, and husband, and I had some more tasty food (better than Tuesday's, actually) which included rice, some of which I ate.
AND, b/c I have not suffered from either day's ingestion of grains.

THAT is what I call progress. It means that as I heal myself, I am less sensitive to the foods to which I have historically been sensitive. It means that all the trial and error, and maintaining of particular routines and downing a gazillion supplements is paying off.

BTW, I am now down to 660 mg of Magnesium per day (from a high of almost twice that in April/May). I'll stay at this level for a month or so, until I feel 'well' enough to drop another pill (each is worth 110 mg).

Gotta go to work now.

Been busy. Trying to organize data for a project I am immersed in. Simultaneously trying to concentrate on my dissertation proposal material.

I guess you could say it is a bit stressful, in an academic sort of way. :-)

Middle of last week I ate something that disagreed, and had some old pain return. Ouch. Had almost forgotten what that intestinal wrenching could be like. Fortunately it only lasted a few hours, and was relieved by .... relieving myself (doh!).

Still on the regularity trail. Mornings have pared down to about a glass of water (6-8 oz) and movement. Usually another movement after eating, and often a third, after a mid-morning snack. I tend to eat more in the morning than later in the day. That's just my biological make-up I guess.

Rare to move after lunch or dinner. Need to work on that - to balance out my system a little more. All I need is time. I must say, though, that my digestive system is much more efficient than ever in my life. Last night's digested dinner is usually in the morning's poop, either first or second round.

Much better than it used to be!

On another tack - went to yoga class last night. New instructor = Lucy. She has a different approach than the others, and is very tuned in to the mechanics of the body and its connection to the spirit and mind.

Fun! Learned some new stuff, and got to use those big bouncy balls -the ones where you drape yourself over the top and relax your back. Very calming, that.

And I did a wheel, with ease!

Gotta go now. Late for 'work'.
