About that fiber experiment. It was a bust. First, I had a hard time remembering to take the stuff in the evening. Second, when I did take it, I got bloated and uncomfortable. Third, I don't need that much fiber, and I believe it may have contributed to blocking me at ovulation this month.
So there you have it. More than once a day doesn't work for me. I am now back to my morning routine and that works just fine.
Another thing. I have been taking extra doses of vitamin C - totaling at about 7500 mg/day, sometimes 8500-9500. I feel great. No side effects. No horror stories. So I will keep taking that.
Now that we are back on an insurance plan, I think I will find a doc who can prescribe a series of tests for mineral levels etc. I really want to know what my magnesium level is since I spent 6 months at megadoses.... At present I am taking one 110 mg capsule/day. That seems to be all I need. Those old complaints of muscle spasm, body odor, sleeplessness, and an assortment of menstrual ailments, seem to have disappeared. I am quite happy about that.
I wonder how much is the vitamin/mineral regimen I was on and how much was the change in attitude from negative energy to positive...
Food for thought.

Am reading a book one of my mentors lent, called Power vs Force, by David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD. It discusses kinesiology, and energy fields and intuition, among other things. I think what is interesting is that the book openly says we all have power within us, and that we do not ever need to 'force' anything - only that we haven't known, and still don't, how to use our inner power.
So, we have choice. We can choose how we conduct our selves, how we treat others, how we react to the world around us.
The book gets at 'truth' - first, saying that our bodies know truth, and also that we choose to acknowledge and go with truth, or not.
I guess that's a fundamental choice.
I am only in the first part, and am already wondering what 'truth' has given me my IBS.
When I get to the good part, I'll let you know. The 'truth' that is. About IBS.
Till then, I haven't anything else to say on the subject. Of 'truth' that is.
In the meantime, I am maintaining regularity. This is wonderful! There are food warnings here though.
We received a food package from my sister (from NYC) that contained all sorts of goodies that are diet-legal, including these wonderful commercially made macaroons. They are Jennies Macaroons, made by a company in Williamsburg, which is in Brooklyn. The company is Red Mill Inn. These macaroons are soooooo goooood! Problem seems to be they give me gas, BIG TIME. I don't know if it's the coconut, or the combination of ingredients (no sugar in these babies, just honey!). How do I experiment? I guess I'll need to get some raw coconut and eat a bunch. If I get gas, that's it. :-)
