Hey. We went to The Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale for a three day weekend. It was great. I really like the pampering there. They don't even consider it pampering. For them, it is normal service. I love the robes, the pool towels, the citrus water, the bowls of apples... I love the huge rooms, they are called casitas, and for good reason. Each shares only one side with another, and they are built in such a way that the shared side is only partial. It's like living in a Hohokam village. Each has its own patio. Ours looked out onto the desert. No civilization in sight (other than a neighbor's patio light in the evening, reflecting on the desert scrub). We swam, lounged, goofed off, shopped, took a yoga class, used the fitness area, explored, and generally relaxed. It was great. My tummy was happy b/c I was happy. Could it be I've found my best-ever maintenance routine? Yahoo! This, on top of functioning well during my last trip (altho, if you recall, I had a couple of stuck days, but there were extenuating circumstances = being in close quarters with my mom!). To me, the best test of my well-being is my ability to function well while on the road. Think about it. This is when we are uprooted from our usual routines, thus this is the time when someone with digestive challenges will be infinitely challenged! I prepared, and met, my travel challenges! I am prepared to meet the next ones. There will be a few upcoming. September we go to Hawaii for our fifth wedding anniversary. I might go to Germany in December to give a paper. Am not certain about that yet. And there are one or two weekends away in between. I am prepared for anything.
