A Regimen
for Remission
This
log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD
foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my
Crohn's in a drug-free remission.
Monkey-see,
monkey-don't
Even
though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must
remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3 to 5
days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for
at least one year before experimenting.

Because so many people email me asking
what I eat on my regimen for remission, I decided to join the masses
of crazed Internet web loggers and create my own blog. But mine, I think,
is somehow different.
Better.
Tastier.
Healthier.
Click here to check it out: Flog

What is
my flog? It is a food blog.
(Come again?
Did I see blog?) Ayup! Blog is short for 'web log'. Web logs,
updated by webloggers, are friendly places where little clippings of
interest can be found. There are thousands and thousands of them on
the Internet. Lots of people make blogs and lots of people read them.
The Chicago
Tribune's Julia Keller says a blog is "like an independent film
or an endless loop. It's like a memoir of the future." You decide--I'm
busy eating!
The SCD
is not a fad. It is not for losing weight. It is not something most
doctors will admit knowledge of. Nevertheless, it is a regimen for folks
with IBD and IBS.
Try it when
you are ready to get your shit together.

Update,
Oct. 2002:
Since its creation on April 11, 2000, Flog
tracks over 2.5 years of SCD meals! I feel it is getting a bit too repetitive.
That is not to say that I won't continue to update Flog. Rather, I intend
to update it periodically when there is a new recipe or meal to share.
