Nirvana of Peristalsis

(also known as Mike's Flog)

A Regimen for Remission
This log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my Crohn's in a drug-free remission.

Monkey-see,
monkey-don't

Even though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3-5 days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for at least one year before experimenting.

Lunch: tossed salad, spinach and mushroom quiche.

Quick bite: Animesh is back from Calcutta, and brought a box of the classic Indian dessert items: pedha, for all to sample. Delicious!!!! Absolutely non-SCD delicacies: milk, sugar, a dash of spice, and a pistachio. It reminded me of marzipan, actually. Anyway, I've been SCD-legal for the last few days (except for this Indian dessert). And in case you are wondering where I am, I'm at Gandiva!

Hey, I'm in San Jose! I'm not sure when I'll have time to update Flog, so feel free to read the archives (link at bottom of this page).

Dinner: leftover chicken tandoori, the last of the grilled cornish hens, some curried cauliflower and eggplant, and steamed squash.
mhs@19:52

Lunch: tossed salad, sliced turkey "pastrami" from Trader Joe's.
More breakfast: two fried eggs. Man, why do eggs almost always bother me afterwards?! Someday I'll learn!

Breakfast: a banana, some nut mix.

We saw a family of Harris' hawks during our morning walk around the neighborhood, as well as a coyote, and a pair of desert hares (very long-eared, tall hares).
