A Regimen
for Remission
This
log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD
foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my
Crohn's in a drug-free remission.
Monkey-see,
monkey-don't
Even though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3-5 days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for at least one year before experimenting.

I'm back in Tucson for 48 hours...back to San Jose next week (hopefully the last week away from home for awhile).
Dinner: grilled salmon with cilantro and walnut pesto, tossed salad, steamed yellow squash.
Lunch: tossed salad, roasted chicken.
Breakfast: fruit, nuts, dried figs.

Revitalizing old infrastructure: a fun article about how the Internet and data transportation are using old infrastructure from the days of horses-pulling-barges-in-canals and (more recently) the railroad revolution. :-)Dinner, yesterday: roasted chicken, tossed spinach salad. Lunch: veal piccata and steamed veggies... While the dish was supposed to be just veal, capers, butter, and wine it sure did bother me (it may have been too heavy or rich for my noon meal); I was running back and forth to the bathroom all afternoon!

According to Evan Leibovitch, Linux is like pizza! "Pizza is a known product with a widely available recipe that's subject to modifications by everyone who makes it. Everyone has access to the tools to make or customize their own, yet most folks choose to have their pizza made for them."
While there are few SCD-legal pizza recipes, yours truly is definitely a Linux fan.

All's well in San Jose! Working hard and all I know is I want a WTF mug! For dinner this evening: roasted chicken, tossed organic spinach salad. Lunch: caesar salad from Cafe Rosalena on The Alameda.

Hey Flog fans, I'm off to San Jose for another week of software startup fun! Unless things are radically different from the norm, I will not have time to update Flog while I'm away. So, read the archives or visit scdiet.org for more SCD info.
Dinner: free-range chicken soup, with organic carrots, celery, parsley, and onions. Delicious, especially for a guy who has been suffering from a cold all week!
Lunch: tossed salad, leftover grilled salmon.
Breakfast: fruit, figs, cheese.
Dinner, yesterday: grilled salmon with walnut and cilantro pesto, oven roasted veggies, and tossed salad.
