Nirvana of Peristalsis

(also known as Mike's Flog)

A Regimen for Remission
This log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my Crohn's in a drug-free remission.

Monkey-see,
monkey-don't

Even though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3-5 days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for at least one year before experimenting.

Awareness, willingness, and effort are three key components to achieving and maintaining intestinal health. First, one needs to be aware of what to look for in the way of contributing factors (stress, anxiety, trigger foods, etc.) and how small changes in one's health may indicate a necessary change. Second, one has to be willing to make the necessary changes and allow them to happen. Simply swallowing a bunch of pills or cutting out problem foods will not entirely solve the problem..one has to be willing to allow these cures to do their work. Finally, effort will be required in continually monitoring the way one is reacting to the contributing factors, how one makes changes to minimize their impact, and sticking to whatever necessary changes one embarks upon. It ain't easy, but the payoff is huge!
