A Regimen
for Remission
This
log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD
foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my
Crohn's in a drug-free remission.
Monkey-see,
monkey-don't
Even though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3-5 days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for at least one year before experimenting.

I love The Dog Song, by Nellie McKay and made a few modifications:I'm just a-walking my dog a-clicking my
mouse, singing my song strolling scrolling along, yea, it's just me and my
dog, mouse catching some sun web we can't go wrong... Then there was you appeared when I was
entangled with youth and fear and nerves jingle jangled.... Nellie's 19, with talent galore and oh what a voice.

Happy Valentine's Day! What foods do you love?
I've just started reading In
The Devil's Garden, by Stewart Lee Allen. It's a wonderful history
of how foods get their reputations (such as how the apple
became the forbidden fruit of Eden). History, intrigue, and
recipes. Something between Dan Brown's The
Da Vinci Code and Michael Pollan's The
Botany of Desire. It starts with the apple, perhaps one of the foods I currently consume the most of. It moves on to basil, something I grow in my herb garden... It will be interesting to see how many of the foods with "bad reputations" are legal and how many are illegal on the SCD.
