Nirvana of Peristalsis

(also known as Mike's Flog)

A Regimen for Remission
This log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my Crohn's in a drug-free remission.

Monkey-see,
monkey-don't

Even though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3-5 days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for at least one year before experimenting.

We're back from a short and fun trip to Nogales, Patagonia, and a very lovely overnight at Hacienda Coronoa de Guevavi B&B.

Hacienda Corona (it's shorter name) is more of a resort than a bed and breakfast. The historic grounds are peaceful, lovely, and filled with a wonderful aura and healing powers of its original inhabitants (the Hohokam indians). Slightly more recent guests of note include John Wayne, and finally, yours truly (Mike and Laura).

Gorgeously appointed rooms, relaxing gardens and pool, amazing vistas, and delicious food!

We had mid-afternoon fruit drinks in Patagonia at The Velvet Elvis. Dinner was at Elvira's on the Mexican side of Nogales (Av. Obregón). I enjoyed an appetizer of goat cheese and fungus, and an entree of ribeye steak with a wonderful sauce of "12 chiles".

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Phil and Wendy treated us to lovely music and a glass of xtabentun, a liquor of anise and honey. Breakfast today: homemade yogurt followed by scrambled eggs, fresh berries, guacamole, breakfast sausages, and some sauteed potatoes (I had some even though they aren't allowed on the SCD--no problems to report).

Baby hummingbirds, butterflies galore!

Did I post this previously? I don't recall. Anyway, be sure to check out LinktivityPresenter, a nifty personal productivity and presentation tool for online and face-to-face sales, training, professional services, and more.
