Nirvana of Peristalsis

(also known as Mike's Flog)

A Regimen for Remission
This log tracks my regimen of attitude, exercise, stress management, and SCD foods. Since I started this regimen in 1997, I've been able to keep my Crohn's in a drug-free remission.

Monkey-see,
monkey-don't

Even though I may have experimented beyond the SCD from time to time, one must remember that everyone is different. Follow the intro diet for 3-5 days, and stick with the SCD until you are completely symptom free for at least one year before experimenting.

Lunch: tossed salad, tunafish salad.

After work, a friend and I hiked at Gates Pass so we could watch the setting sun in the west, followed about 20 minutes later by the rising full moon on the east. It was beautiful!

Dinner: leftover sole, sauteed veggies, and butternut squash puree.

Breakfast: homemade yogurt, applesauce, Lois Lang's nut bread with butter and honey.

The seasons have changed here in Tucson! People say we only have two seasons, but whether there are two or four, they've changed. Normally I relish the cold yogurt in the morning, but this morning the house is a cool 72 degrees (from leaving the windows open all night) and I'd actually prefer something warmer this morning! So, I've toasted my nut bread. The sun has just come up and it will be warm in no time!

Dinner, yesterday: a stir fry of baby sweet bell peppers, scallion, onion, chicken, and garlic black bean sauce.
